About Seymour Studio

Hi. I’m Denaj Seymour, and believe it or not I started this project as a means to return to university. However, as I dove deeper into the project, I realized this idea held far more potential than I had ever dreamed.

My goal is to immerse viewers in the beauty of nature, revealing our deep connection to it. By artistically showcasing ordinary elements, I encourage a rediscovery of the magnificence surrounding us.

Growing up on an island, I always loved nature, but my appreciation deepened during my time in Animal Programs at Walt Disney World.

Ultimately, my photography is guided by a few ideas

01

To increase awareness and a transformative shift in our relationship with nature and our environment.

02

To reconnect society with the intrinsic value of the natural world, reminding us of our place within it.

03

To invite contemplation that evokes a sense of calmness, inspiration, and rootedness in the present moment.

04

To be a leading line to our Creator.

Dragon Fly art
If you go buried in your own thoughts, if you are busy, then you do not notice it at all in passing. You are not aware that this murmuring exists. But if you stand still, then you discover it. And if you have discovered it, then you must stand still. And when you stand still, then it persuades you. And when it has persuaded you, then you must stoop and listen attentively to it. And when you have stooped to listen to it, then it captures you. And when it has captured you, then you cannot break away from it, then you are overpowered. Infatuated, you sink down at its side. At each moment it is as if in the next moment it must offer an explanation. But the brook goes on murmuring, and the wanderer at its side grows older.

My photography serves as a catalyst for introspection, fosters a heightened awareness of the presence and importance of nature, and fuels a larger movement toward environmental consciousness. As we integrate ourselves more closely with nature, we will reclaim our humanity and cultivate a renewed sense of responsibility for the world we inhabit.
